LootCalc groups tools by game and by model. Use a fixed-trial probability tool only when the displayed rate and eligibility contract apply; use a counter or guarantee planner for documented stateful rules; use a progress, resource, or batch ledger when the inputs are deterministic observations.
Probability and stateful counters
Fixed independent trials, explicit guarantee boundaries, and changing counter schedules are separate models. The page states which inputs are sourced and which are user-defined.
Value and batch accounting
Use one value unit, a timestamped source, direct costs, and a complete timer. An observed batch is not relabeled as a hidden drop-rate model.
Progress and budgets
Record current balances, caps, thresholds, planned actions, and reset boundaries without inventing rewards or future income.
