Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about LootCalc and our gaming calculators.

Using LootCalc Calculators

Understand how EV, GPH, and sharing work so you can configure calculators for your own runs and compare builds.

Why doesn't the green EV number change when I increase runs?

The green number shows the expected value per run. Increasing the number of runs scales your total expected value linearly (EV × runs) and affects gold per hour based on your runtime and costs, but the per-run expectation stays the same.

What's the difference between EV and GPH?

EV is the average profit per run given drop probabilities and values. GPH converts that into a per-hour rate using your runtime and costs (including supplies). EV is about value, GPH is about efficiency.

How do I share my calculator setup?

Each calculator has a built-in share feature that generates a URL with your current settings. You can copy this link to share your configuration with others.

Why do my results differ from other calculators?

Different calculators may use varying data sources, calculation methods, or assumptions. We strive for accuracy using official sources and transparent methodologies.

Data Sources and Accuracy

Learn where our drop rates and price feeds originate, plus how confident you can be in the profit estimates.

Where do drop rates and prices come from?

OSRS rates come from the wiki and community research; prices are recent GE snapshots (you can override any item value). WoW Delves mappings are from the official season tables.

How accurate are the drop rate calculations?

Our calculations are based on official game data and extensive community research. For OSRS, we use data from the OSRS Wiki and verified drop rates. For WoW, we use official Blizzard tables updated with each patch.

Can I trust the profit calculations?

Profit calculations provide estimates based on recent market data. Actual profits may vary due to market fluctuations, RNG, and your individual playstyle. Always use these as guidelines rather than guarantees.

How often are item prices updated?

OSRS prices are based on recent Grand Exchange snapshots and can be overridden in the calculators. WoW item values are updated when new patches or seasons release.

No, LootCalc is a fan-made tool created by gaming enthusiasts. We are not affiliated with Jagex, Blizzard Entertainment, or any other game companies.

Is there an 'OSRS delve calc' or 'delve boss loot osrs calc'?

"Delves" is a WoW feature, not OSRS. For OSRS loot calculations, use the Barrows loot calculator. If you're looking for OSRS boss calculators, we currently focus on Barrows chests.

What's the 'Doom of Mokhaiotl loot calculator'?

It refers to a boss within WoW Delves. Use the Delves calculator page to estimate its rewards and rates. The calculator includes boss-specific loot information for Mokhaiotl encounters.
