Cost breakdown
  • Cards: 120
  • Epiphany & Divine: 40
  • Conversions: 10
  • Removals: 0 (ladder + base penalties)
  • Duplications: 0 (laddered)

Ladder per action: 0 → 10 → 30 → 50 → 70 (5th+ stays 70). Removing base/starting cards adds +20 each unless you convert first (+10 instead of +20). Monsters cost 80 vs Neutral/Forbidden 20; Divine Epiphany adds +30 on that card (regular +10 plus +20 Divine).

Build Your Deck Card-by-Card (Chaos Zero Nightmare Deck Builder Workflow)

Add rows for each card and mark its type (Neutral, Forbidden, Monster), Epiphany state (none, Epiphany, Divine, or Unique spark), whether it was converted (+10), whether it is a base/starting card, and if it is removed. Set duplication counts to apply the duplication ladder. The calculator sums per-card costs and action ladders to show Used vs Cap.

Add Cards by Type (CZN Deck Calculator for Neutral / Forbidden / Monster)

Card costs follow the community-standard values: Neutral 20, Forbidden 20, Monster 80. Monster + Divine reaches 110 on a single card, so a few Monsters can push you over cap quickly.

Toggle Converted / Epiphany / Divine per Card (Detail)

Conversion adds +10 even if you later remove the card. Epiphany adds +10; Divine adds +20 on top (treated as +30 total). Unique spark is typically modeled as 0. If a card is removed, its card/epiphany cost drops, but conversion and removal costs still apply.

Base Card Penalty vs Convert-Then-Remove

Removing a base/starting card adds +20 on top of the ladder. Convert-then-remove replaces the +20 with a +10 conversion, saving 10 points per base card.

Live Save Data & Faint Memory Tracking (Outputs)

The deck builder shows Used, Cap (with optional +10 for Nightmare), remaining or overage, status (Safe / Near Cap / Over Cap), and a breakdown of cards, Epiphany/Divine, conversions, removals, and duplications. If Used exceeds Cap, expect in-game corrections that drop costly items first (Monsters, Divine) or restore removed cards.

Removal & Duplicate Ladder Costs in Deck Context

Removals and duplications share the ladder: 0 → 10 → 30 → 50 → 70 (5th+ stays 70). Total cost is the sum of each step across all actions. Base-card removals add +20 each unless you convert first.

Monster vs Neutral Cost, Divine vs Regular Epiphany

Monster 80 vs Neutral/Forbidden 20. Divine adds +20 on top of the regular Epiphany (+10), so +30 total on that card. Combining Monsters and Divines can exceed cap with only a few cards.

Common Mistakes This Chaos Zero Nightmare Deck Calculator Prevents

FAQ (Chaos Zero Nightmare Deck Calculator / CZN Deck Builder)

Do converted cards’ Epiphanies count?

Yes. Convert adds +10; Epiphany adds +10; Divine adds +20 (stacked to +30). If the card is removed later, the removal action still costs ladder + any base penalties.

What happens if I remove a Monster card?

You drop the Monster’s +80 card cost, but the removal consumes a ladder step (0→10→30→50→70…) and adds +20 if it was a base/starting card. Convert-then-remove avoids the +20 penalty.

How are removals and duplications calculated?

Both use the same cumulative ladder: 0, +10, +30, +50, +70 (5th+ stays 70). Total cost is the sum of steps across all removals or duplicates.

How do I handle Nightmare / Deep Trauma tiers?

Toggle +1 Tier to add +10 cap, mirroring the common rule that Nightmare/Deep Trauma effectively raises the tier cap by one step.

Why can in-game Faint Memory differ from the calculator?

If you finish over cap, the game can roll back expensive items (Monsters, Divine Epiphanies) or even restore removed cards. The calculator shows the theoretical total before any over-cap corrections.
